Suburban Firsts differed from mainline Firsts in that they were 4-wheeled, not 6.  26ft long, they held 32 passengers seated 4 abreast.  They were built between 1872 and 1889.

The suburban vehicles differed from mainline versions in that they seated 4 abreast in First Class and 5 in Second Class - more than equivalent 6W mainline stock. They were built between 1874 and 1883.
